Karen Galat, the principal of Newburyport Divorce Mediation, has been a practicing family law attorney for more than 20 years. She has worked as a Guardian Ad Litem for the Essex County Probate & Family Court and is uniquely qualified to mediate cases in which custody is disputed. Attorney Galat was admitted to practice before all courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1982, before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United State Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in 1983 and before the United States Supreme Court in 1990.
